"Mencl's Tavern is the kind of place that provides small town atmosphere with good quality food. It offers a relaxing backdrop of customers visiting while you are greeted pleasantly by Kay at the door. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. The servers are courteous and friendly. Once your order has been placed, they frequently check to ensure that your meal is good, your drink is full and when they say they will be back to check on you in a bit, you can be assured they will! Then there's the food. It is delicious! Terry cooks it to your liking. Whether it's a steak, hammburger, chicken or just a grilled cheese sandwich. Often he comes out to check and make sure he prepared it how you ordered it. I have never had that happen at other restaurants. The salad bar is amazing! Kay and Terry offer a wide variety of salads, fruits, and desserts! Sometimes it's hard to choose! Then upon your departure you are offered a sincere "Thanks for coming" "Have a good day" and "Come again". Mencl's Tavern is a great place to enjoy a nice meal...and lucky us...it's close to home!" --Sarah
